Read moreThe World Economic Forum (WEF) will postpone the annual meeting in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, until-mid 2022, which was earlier scheduled to be held in January 2022. The move came as the concerns over the new COVID-19 Omicron variants increased, impacting health and travel.
Davos Summit was supposed to be the first major in-person meeting two years since the pandemic began. Organizers will now conduct virtual “State of the World” sessions for the global leaders to focus on shaping solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
The theme for this year is ‘Working Together, Restoring Trust’ and have the following key agenda:
- To address economic, environmental, political, and social fault-lines exacerbated by the pandemic.
- To focus on accelerating stakeholder capitalism, harnessing the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and ensuring a more inclusive future of work.
- Promote public-private cooperation as it will be crucial to rebuilding trust and shaping a more sustainable future.
