The achievement would help scientists discover critical information about the Sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:17px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"why-study-corona\"><strong>Why study corona?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-verse\" style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: justify;\"\n>The corona is the outer layer of the Sun&#8217;s atmosphere, yet it is hundreds of times hotter than the surface. However, we can view the corona during a total solar eclipse<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:14px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-verse\" style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: justify;\"\n>The corona gives rise to the continuous flow of charged particles. Unpredictable solar winds cause\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/polscienceweb.com\/index.php\/portfolio\/geomagnetic-storm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a geomagnetic storm<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in our planet&#8217;s magnetic field that hamper communications technology on Earth. The probe will continue to orbit and increasingly get closer to the Sun. It will collect valuable data and relay it back for scientists to interpret with each to and understand the phenomenon surrounding the sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-verse\" style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: justify;\"\n>Parker Solar Probe will use Venus&#8217;s gravity during seven flybys over nearly seven years to gradually bring its orbit closer to the Sun.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-verse\" style=\"font-size: 18px; text-align: justify;\"\n>Venus&#8217;s sky is filled with thick, toxic clouds that rain sulphuric acid, making it challenging to investigate up close.
